Zoopsychologist for dogs and puppies: evidence-based behavior correction
My name is Veronika Voitovska, I am a zoopsychologist. I am also a doctor, a cynologist-expert, a judge of dog shows and competitions, a lecturer, the owner of a large kennel of several dog breeds “DOGNIK BULLS” (15 adult dogs in the kennel as of 2025). I have completed various cynological courses, seminars in different countries. I work only with dogs. I do not work with cats. My real experience in dog breeding helps me effectively help dog owners. I do not see the point in taking on more work, accepting cat owners as well. After all, I really understand dog behavior both professionally and in reality. But I do not have a cat kennel. In addition to all the certificates and courses, I consider my own kennel with a large number of dogs to be a real case. This is more important than any paper from any country in the world.
I help dogs of different breeds and mongrel dogs with aggression, fears, phobias, and so on. I work with completely different requests. Both global ones regarding the socialization of the dog in general, and specific ones: “the dog guards the food bowl”, “the dog rushes at guests and attacks”. I develop a personal program for your family, taking into account all individual circumstances, as well as the breed characteristics of your dog. That is, pay attention. If, for example, your American pit bull terrier has zooaggression (aggression towards animals), then this can only be learned to be properly controlled. Zooaggression is a breed characteristic of pit bulls. If your Jack Russell Terrier is very active and destroys the apartment, then I will remind you that this is a terrier and not a lapdog. That is, please, do not expect that a zoopsychologist will be able to completely help overcome breed characteristics that have been bred for hundreds of years in certain dog breeds. This is unrealistic. If someone promises you this, then he is not competent in cynology in general, run from such “know-it-alls”. I give clear and simple rules for the whole family when living with a dog. So that the dog does not get confused. Example: children do one thing, parents do another when demanding the same action. The dog gets confused and does not understand what is expected of it.
Support during the time between video conferences.
The most frequent requests that I encounter as a zoopsychologist:
aggression towards owners, guests, dogs, conflicts in the house
fears of loud sounds, fireworks, elevators, entrances
fear of loneliness in dogs, separation anxiety
“street reactivity”: barking, lunges at people and animals
puppies: hygiene, socialization, accustoming to a carrier, prohibitions, etc.
problems with rituals: food, sleep, taking pills, caring for the dog
Diagnosis of dog behavior. I tell you why it behaves this way, what led to it. We analyze options for how to fix this in the case of your dog. We take into account its breed (or if it is a mongrel), size, and the influence of the environment. I train all family members. I work on how to explain to children the correct behavior with a dog or puppy.
I work via online video conference. Individual travel is possible if we are in the same country and city. However, we are currently moving to another country, so this function is currently unavailable.

1. Describe the problem behavior that you want to solve. Or that you want to influence as much as possible. Or your request is related to a misunderstanding of how a dog thinks. And you need to explain why in some situations it acts this way and not differently.

3. I send you all the information that I need to receive from you. What videos with a dog interest me, what situations and in what detail are important to describe, and so on.
4. We set up a time for a video conference. Usually the first consultation lasts 60-120 minutes. During the conversation, many additional questions always arise for both me and the clients. The cost of a 30-minute consultation is 50 euros.
5. During the consultation, you receive a plan for the next 2-4 weeks of what to do. And you complete these tasks. Along the way, during this time, you send me a video of the dog’s behavior, while following the recommendations from the consultation. If something needs to be corrected, if you are doing something wrong or the dog cannot be corrected in one way, we will change it to another during this time.
6. Please note. Previously, payment was made in full after the first consultation. At the moment, due to people who decided not to pay for a two-hour consultation (and naturally a preliminary analysis of all their videos and the situation a week before, a description of what is happening, etc.), my terms have changed.Payment for the first 30 minutes of the consultation occurs immediately, before the video conference. The remainder — after the video conference (if the consultation is longer than 30 minutes, which is often the case).
7. Repeated consultation in 2-4 weeks. With some problems, the situation is corrected immediately and repeated consultations are not required. With other problems, 6 consultations are needed. Everything depends on the problem, the animal and other factors.
